Soo I have put a lot of wedding planning on hold due to financial issues, and now that i am getting back into the swing of things and have only 10 months left, i need to put some fire under my a**! I need help, I am a Maggie Sabelle bride, and i have to pick my girls dress's out. Now the question for you guy's is, Did you find it hard to pick a material for your girls? I live in Texas, But i am originally a long island girl. And when i ordered my dress down here the girl at the store said that there is no way i can do silk...Well now im confused.. help

why not? Do what YOU like...not what the girl at the store thinks...I don't particularly believe in the material, color rules of bridesmaid dresses. My dress was a silk taffetta and i used chiffon dresses...pick what YOU like!

I am a Sabelle bride!!! I don't see why you can't do silk??? I will probably do silk myslef. Actually I had a BM wear a possible gown the other day while I was in my gown, and it looked great together!!!
I think that lady is nuts and you shuld do what you want.

i thought about that b/c i was thinking of doing silk chiffon BM dresses and thought it might clash. we ended up going w/ a silk tricotine BM dress from JCrew. I say do whatever YOU think will look best and go w/ your vision for the day! after all, it is YOUR day!
