All Star Limo in Farmingdale

Hi Ladies, I am in the process of choosing a limo service for my big day. Does anybody have any good or bad comments about All Star? They are my top choice so far. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks :)

They had come highly recommeded to us for our wedding. But, they gave us the run-around when trying to meet with them to see their Rolls Royce. We had made several appointments, and for each, the car remained in the shop (at another location) for repairs, and not one person bothered to call us to reschedule. So we wasted several trips down there only to find out the car wasn`t there. It wasn`t until we didn`t show up on a day we said we 'might' try back that they bothered to pick up a phone to make yet another appointment. Their lack of thoughtfulness to reschedule any of our appointments, plus that they could use our phone number when we didn`t show up for an appointment we didn`t even have really turned me off to them. I also didn`t feel comfortable knowing they only had one Rolls Royce which had just spent so much time in the shop being repaired. When asked what they would do if it broke down the week of our wedding, we were told that it could be replaced with a Lincoln stretch. I wasn`t happy with that answer .. I was booking a Rolls because that`s the car I wanted. We went elsewhere and were happy with our choice.

Thanks for your response. Which company did you use?

We used Royalty and loved the way they treated us when we met with them .. on Christmas Eve last year! I couldn`t believe how well they treated us on such an unusual day, a day when most businesses are either closed, or close early. But they were great. We met with Mike, and he was so patient with us, and really fun .. showing us all the cars with the enthusiasm of a proud parent. It was really kind of sweet. But he also knew exactly when to leave us alone to discuss things privately, which was something no one else in the entire wedding planning process did. We always had to leave the appointment to discuss things privately. As for Royalty`s service, we have not one complaint. However, I will be honest and tell you that the drivers had to be told how to get us to our destinations. This wasn`t a big deal to me, but I guess in all honesty it does show a lack of preparation on their part, and it could have been a problem had my brother (in with the wedding party) not known how to get to John Anthony`s. In terms of price, I believe Royalty was pretty much the same as All Star. But the difference in customer service was just tremendous. Not that All Star was ever rude to us, but their lack of consideration really annoyed me. We had also known a lot of people who had success with Royalty, so we felt confident in our choice with them. As for All Star, maybe they do good work, but we just didn`t want to chance it, especially since they had just one Rolls. Royalty had several. It is hit and miss though with alot of these companies. There have been people here that have complained about Royalty, and I`m sure there are people who have had success with All Star. No matter who you choose, make sure to confirm everything the week before the wedding, and make sure they get several copies of your map cards. I also found it helpful to have map cards to the reception at the church. Good Luck in your planning!!
