Flipping between stations on T.V and havent seen anything to that affect

CNBC is just talking about how we should make sure there is enough gas in our car, duct tape in the house and a plan as to how to get out of town..
How messed up is all this

i havent heard anything

i know the williamsburg bridge was shut down this morning and that they werent letting vans or trucks on it.

I havent heard anything about all bridges being closed

I saw they closed the tunnel, Brooklyn Battery, because they found a 'suspicious' blue package. But that was about an hour ago

Nope... we already have like 3 rolls in the house and enough saran wrap to seal my house off from an A-bomb.

No. I will only buy it if I feel that I will be trapped somewhere with a crazy whiny person who's mouth has to be taped shut.

Jenn...relax sweety...really. Try to turn off the news and do something that takes your mind off it.

Forgive my ignorance...but whats the deal with the duct tape? I'll admit, I have been choosing to wear blinders lately b/c if I think about this I get all panicky.... but I live 2 blocks from the Williamsburg Bridge so it better not be closed!!!!

I hope to god that I would never have to use it and I do go about my life and not let these threats of a biological attack scare me from doing what I want or need to do but yes.. I did buy duct tape and stocked up on water and food because I have a son and I just rather be safe than sorry...
If we go to war.. wouldnt surprise if these wackjobs attack us back.. I know that most of you probably think ppl like me are overeacting because I bought this stuff but whats the big deal just to keep it in the house? It really is not all that unbelievable that something one day might happen..may not be this weekend or even this year but why wouldnt anyone want to be prepared?

Can I tell you this has gotten to me so much that I was on the train today going to my interview and a homeless man was on the train begging for money. Then his last sentece is 'how many of you people on the train' and then stopped.

I was about to have a nervous breakdown

then he takes a deep breath and says 'have a cigarette you can give me'

See what this paranoia does to people. We cant even get on the train without being nervous.

I dont even watch the news. Its disney chanel, nickeloden, or game show network for me

The bridges aren't closed. They saw a package that was suspicious that fell off a truck in the Battery Tunnel...and it's all over now.

People...the authorities are being OVERLY CAUTIOUS. This is gonna happen a lot over the next few days.

I swear being at work is the worst place to be. Everyone has neurotic freaks at work. We have one..she's sent us e-mail after e-mail telling us not to take the train. DUMBASS. We're ON TOP OF THE TRAINS what's the difference if we are on it?

And I love how every e-mail starts with 'I am not an alarmist but....'.

I wish I had a picture of a little guy that rolls his eyes.

Yeah, they swept my train this morning, cops in riot gear with machine guns. Actually made me feel better!

Duct tape is on the list for 'necessities' in the event of a chemical or biological attack, so that you can seal off windows, doors, vents. Nice, we'll seal everything off and then die from suffocation because THERE IS NO AIR GETTING IN.

I swear I find all of this more funny than scary!

I won't watch the news... its been all sitcoms and movies! Cuz i know if i watch the news ill start crying and won'tbe able to stop... like around 9-11
