Re: Allegia Hotel and Spa, Trump on the Ocean??
Hello dears!
Here I am, any specific questions about the Allegria?
The beach there is public, so while they can TRY to do beach weddings, they don't recommend it. They do have a rooftop ceremony area that i'm getting hitched on...and its all open windows so if its nice you can have them all open but if its pouring, you're still protected!
As far as CH, you have the option of around the pool (which they close for the hour), all hors d'ourves (or however you spell that!) are passed with a mediterranean station. You have the option to add all the fancy ones but I opted not to, since its just an hour anyway and it didn't make sense to me to pay the crazy step up charges for the hour. If not around the pool you can do it downstairs in the lounge.
The banquet room you can see pics of online (or sketches). She promised me less lamps than you see in the artists rendering, haha.
I have the menus and stuff scanned if you want to send me your email.
Trump I don't believe is going to be done until 2010. I wasn't looking to wait that long.
Let me know if I can help more!

Something like a miami lounge? I would love that. How does the ballroom in person look? Overall does it look like a modern, trendy place? Sorry for all the ques. Im so curious. I would love it if you would send me the menu. Do they offer viennese hour, martini bar , all the works etc. Thanks

When I went for the appt she showed me all the information/architect drawings, furnishings ordered, etc.
They also own the Atlantica, which made me a little more comfortable with having my WEDDING there.
They offer all the works. I didn't have most of that stuff in my budget so I didn't really get into it too deeply.
Furnishings are VERY contemporary. The bar downstairs has a round bar/ very Sobe esque. They'll also close the bar/lounge if you want to use it for your 'afterparty'
My main concern was somewhere nice/different/non hall-ish. I didn't want the typical wedding so I'm hoping that everyone leaves there with at the very least, a unique experience. I can bring in the inspiration boards that they gave me tomorrow...I think I have them at home.
FM me your email. I can also give you the BM's contact info if you want to set up an appt.

WOW youve been a great help. Thats my #1 concern too, I want a totally different experience on my wedding day for me and my guests, not hallish!! something 'fresh and clean' if you know what I mean. I read about the Allegria online and I was like wow, sounds really really good and Its in LI but still close to Queens. Im dying for a pool top cocktail hour overlooking the ocean . I cant wait to see pictures of your wedding!!!
