So to make a long story short I hopefully took away tons of business from this place. On a trip to the bathroom I saw a bunch of women from the Allegria Hotel talking to the receptionist about marketing opportunities and corporate events, etc. etc. Once they left I filled in the receptionist with the tales of their horrid customer service, broken promises, and how much they have screwed over TONS of brides and grooms. I know people personally who were screwed over, and then I know some LIW girls were as well. The receptionist couldn't believe it! It definitely turned her against them, and I don't think she is forwarding the information on to the management and marketing committees. I work at one of the largest law firms on Long Island and we could have given them a lot of business if we wanted to. Oh well... don't mess with us brides and grooms on our wedding day!!!!!!!!!!! Ugh, the stories I have heard from this place still make me mad!

Re: Allegria Hotel
OK OK enough with the Allegria Already. It is so very nice of you to give the place bad reviews. I have 3 friends of mine who are getting married there in 2010, and they have nothing to do with what happened pre construction. I wish I could get married there the place is Absolutely beautiful. 10 of us had dinner there the other night and the food was Awesome. We were all laughing at the rumor mill that his been swirling around this place. The service was a 10 The food was a 10 New Years Eve there is going to be great! Cant wait!
Good luck everyone Hope everyones wedding is Awesome!!

Re: Allegria Hotel
There goes the Rumor mill again!!
I am on here to get info for my wedding limos. florists etc.
I was actually reading reviews about Verdi Photography and happen to see this. http://fotoverdi.com/blog/?p=115
I am getting married at a farmhouse in East Hampton. I was born in Oceanside so i have a spot in my heart for Long Beach. Anyway
Good luck to all the brides...Just soooo tired about hearing about the Allegria. Its amazing no one is talking about all the other venues that will be closing in 2010 or the Woddbury country club and how they are going to be building condos there
Happy Holidays!

Re: Allegria Hotel
As far as I know, Woodbury CC hasn't left brides scrambling to find other options for their weddings last minute. That's the difference between them and probably why people aren't upset at WCC.
