Mine are soooo bad this year. Usually they are gone by now, but I am sneezing a lot today - even though it's rainy! I thought the rain eliminates the pollen???
I was watching the news last week and they said global warming is making allergies reallllly bad this year, not sure what the connection is. Maybe trees are blooming more? Grass growing faster?
Anyone else suffering every day regardless of what the weather is doing? I always forget to take my OTC claritin ....

Re: ALLERGIES
Sorry you feel that way ! thankfully I have been ok this year - I started taking my zyrtec early this year to avoid getting really sick as in past years.

Re: ALLERGIES
Yeah I have bad allergies! Usually the sneezing has subsided by June for me but not this year. However, the unbearable itchy eyes are my absolute worst symptom and this year it only lasted 2 weeks of that. Usually that for me lasts the entire month of May. Who knows? I take zyrtec otc and it really helps me out for the sneezing. Good luck!!!

I sneeze when I get out of the shower most! So strange. I think it might all the 'jams and jellies' I use I know any perfume makes me sneeze at least once, but I will suffer through that in order to smell nice
Anyone else have to look at the sun or a lamp, etc, in order to get out the sneezes? FH thinks I am nuts.

Oh, the itchy eyes are BAD and mine haven't been bad this year either. Once you start you CANNOT STOP though right?? I have been ok with that though, just really sneezing a lot. I'll take that over the eyes any day.

Mine usually doesn't get really bad until a few hours after I am at work, for some reason. The ac helps but I still sneeze a few times in the AM .... I try not to take it for a few reasons too - a) too much med is never good for anyone, and I would hate to take it if I don't need it, and b) it's expensive! I try to take it only when I know I will need it, like on the weekends when it's really sunny out and I will be outside a lot.

Re: ALLERGIES
I feel your pain. I never even had allergies until 2 years ago. I use a sinus rinse and that helps a lot (I don't like taking medicine every day either). I do take Zyrtec D occasionally though. One of my doctors said that it isn't just allergies that are effecting everyone, but also irritants (i.e. pollution). I get sinus headaches all the time because of this stuff.

Re: ALLERGIES
Mine are bad. This year is it is more pressure and headached so lots of Advil Cold and Sinus for me. I do use Zyrtec too though.
part of it is that it never got cold enough this winter to kill things off from last year, so ontop of this year's pollen and allergiens you have stuff lingering around from last year. Pretty gross if you think about it.

UGH! That makes complete sense though and explains the global warming reasoning!

You have reminded me to make sure I put the tick and flea medicine on my dog when I get home tonight. Thanks!

I use frontline plus and my dog is due for her next dose. I have had no problems with the frontline either.
Once, my FH took her with him when he was painting a boathouse in Lloyd Harbor ... oh my god she was COVERED in ticks, she was playing in the reeds all day. I think he counted over 75. FH had to remove some from her butt area with tweezers But they were all dead thanks to the frontline! She was absolutely fine.

Re: ALLERGIES
I have bad seasonal allergies and I'm really allergic to dust and dust mites. I actually have these special covers for my pillows and mattress. My seasonal allergies have been bad. I think my allergist said now that trees are bad. Thankfully my bad one (grass) is ending.

I know, I freak out whenever I think there is one on her!!!! I once found ONE flea - it jumped off of her on the couch, literally - and freaked. Never found another which I don't understand... maybe it wasn't a flea?
