Re: allready married ...............
I didn't think anything would change since we lived together for almost 2 yrs before we got married. But I have to say, it changes. for the BETTER! our bond is deeper than ever!
we're a family now (as the flight attendant pointed out to us on the way to our HM). it's just different... I feel like I have so much more to lose now, but not in a depressing kind of way, if you know what I mean.
being married is AMAZING!!!!!!!!

I absolutely agree. I had posted this same question and most responses said 'it's just different.' And, that is the only way to describe it. We feel closer. Like dleeny said, we are now a family. We have a bond that we didn't have prior to being married. It is very hard to explain.
We also lived together for over 2 yrs before we were married.

Dina - I couldn't have said it better myself.
Although, just a note, DH and I did not live together until after the wedding.

you'll see, it WILL be different.
I look at my husband and think - OMG he's my HUSBAND! we're married! we're a family! it's a state of mind, and heart!

Re: allready married ...............
The first year of our marriage was very difficult even though we lived together for 2 years prior.
I had a hard time adjusting. It got better and things still get difficult at times, but what changes is your attitude, your priorities and if you are blessed your love deepens and strengthens. It may be hard to believe that you could love someone more than you do when you get married.
We love each other 100 times more now after 8 years. If that helps you understand the difference.

I agree. It's hard to describe, but it feels different (in a better way of course). Even though we lived together for 2 years before we got married, things changed. I feel more safe, secure, and happy. It feels more like we're a family.

My FH and I have been together for 11 years and it continues to change. You will grow, you will change, you will adjust and you will learn. As long as I am breathing, i will learn with God's blessings. I think marriage will change our relationship even MORE but I never think to myself 'we have been together for so long, nothing will ever change'. I like the change. I love the growth and continued love.

Re: allready married ...............
It definitely feels different but it's hard to put into words. DH had been dating for 9 years when we got married and lived together for 4 years at that point. I thought it really wouldn't change but honestly it did. There's just this whole new feeling that comes to play - like Dina said - a bond that is so much more than ever before.

I couldn't agree more.... The first couple of months (for me), I had a hard time adjusting to us living together/being married. It wasn't that I was unhappy by a long shot, but I definately had romanticized the newlywed life. It was much different than I had thought.
I love my husband more than anything, and like the other ladies said, it's something you just can't explain. It just feels different. Wonderful and amazing, but different.
