Ummmmmmmmmm NO. I almost died when FMIL almost bought a silver dress. She did in fact buy it actually, but she's wearing it to something else, lol. She's wearing green for my wedding.

I hope mine isn't of the same mind, I already told FH I would flip on HIM if she does get anything in the white/ivory family of colors

not that my fmil would do this but after reading so post as to how fmil are wearing cream, ivory, etc i had to ask fh. this is how it went

LOL - thats grrreat of your FH!

I was having this same issue and the dress came in and FMIL didnt even tell me about it. I found out because FH aunt emailed my sister to have her convince me that it doesnt matter if FMIL wears a dress that looks ivory. ANYWAY, FH assured me the dress looks gold.

I dont understand MIL's!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My mother wore ivory to my brothers wedding, but my SIL picked out the dress for her, and her mother wore a very light pink dress...

I actually wouldn't mind if either of them wore a lighter color but they are both trying to wear green...

ugh!!! I am sorry!

I might be in the same boat as you. FMIL mentioned she found a dress that she liked in a window it was beige/blush.

She better bring me to the store with her to buy it b/c I know when her oldest son got married she brought his bride to be to the store. and her daughter went with her FMIL to pick out her dress!

My step FMIL is wearing oatmeal and my dress is champagne...not much I can do about it either....oh well!

Uuuggghhhh...seriously!

I love that my friends MIL never wore anything remotely cream/white/light colord to any of her daughters' weddings, but to her only son, she HAD to upstage the bride!

umm dont worry, my MOTHER thought it was alright if the bridesmaids wore white !!! because my sister tried on a bari jay dress this weekend and it was in white and does look great in white, but noooo not for a bridesmaid !!
