Almost passed out today...and vent...

I went to work today and took my class to church. While standing there, I got really hot, started sweating, my hearing went out and the room went black. I almost passed out!!! I walked over to another teacher and she brought me back to the school. I called the daoctor and he told me to go to the hospital just for a precaution. My DH came to pick me up and off we were to Winthrop Hospital. The nurses were sooo nice there and after I was checked out...fetal heart rate, blood pressure and blood sugar...they brought me to the ER for shortness of breath.

This is where the vent begins...I waited for an hour in the ER, while people who were brought there after me got helped before I did. I looked at my DH and said, give me my clothes( I was half naked, in a wheelchair ). I walked to the bathroom in my socks, got changed and walked out of there. I was sooo pissed.

I feel fine now, but was just annoyed that they made me go into the ER...

That $ucks, I pregnant woman should always have priority, I'm surprised they didn't take you right away.

I hope your feeling better. I actually just got back from the doctor and asked about feeling like that. I've had what happened to you happen to me twice so far. Besides that I seem to get light headed and dizzy alot especially when standing. Try to take it easy tonight. I hope your feeling better soon.

I work in Winthrop (in Labor & Delivery! ) and I can tell you the ER needs a major overhall. One of my coworkers went there once because she got sick while working and they made her wait to the point where she gave up and went back to work and this is one of their fellow employees!

I would've been pissed about waiting in the ER like that too. I'm glad to hear you're feeling better!
