Almost told DH's mom that we are having trouble TTCing and I chickened out....

Should I email her and try to explain? These are not approachable people. Nice but not approachable in the area of sex...

I wouldn't mention it to them unless you are ready to be shot down and not get much emotional support.

Have they've been asking about TTC? IF you have been TTC for a while and they continue to ask and If you feel they would give you both emotional support, then why not.

If they haven't been supportive with you guys, then I wouldn't share with them or I would have DH explain to his parents.

They don't really know. They are not the most approachable people. They are wonderful don't get me wrong, but they aren't the lovey dovey type. However, their neice just had a baby and a few of my friends have as well, and I guess they are just wondering. The flip side is that they would NEVER really come out and ask. I am thankful for that! I would never want pushy people.

In conversation she said 'Have you ever thought about children?' I didn't know what to say, so I laughed and said, 'we have a dog and she is a lot of work.'

I feel like an arse!

same here, I wouldnt say anything. My parents know, and his parents know a little. They dont know the details.

I wouldn't say anything. DH and I haven't told ours yet - because I don't want to hear it every month....

Also I feel that since they are a little old-fashioned they don't really understand all about it.

My MIL had 3 kids in 5 years so TTC is a foreign concept to her

we're thinking of telling just so they'll STOP asking us. Everytime we have family GTG's almost everyone brings up us having kids. Well especially after the last BFN I'm really upset by it and it hurts when they keep asking. I think if we tell them we can ask nicely to stop asking us since we are trying and it's a difficult thing.

Was just thinking about this again - my inlaws know because my DH told them (wish he hadnt) and now at every single family function I get grilled by everyone and it is really pissing me off. Sorry in a grumpy mood today on account of the fact that I spent yesterday being grilled by them again. 'Are you sure youre not PG??'' Um YES I'm SURE!!!!!!!
