So I am almost convincing my HUB of booking the sand castle... he loved everything about it but didnt like the entrance.. he says its not as grand and looks very 'hotelish'
need to call my BM and see if we can have the florist change some things around ( fingers crossed) has anyone done anything like this???
i still feel as if i want to see one of the lessings properties ( dont know which yet) and the INN at new hyde park..

Re: Almost..Almost
Def don't settle until you see other properties. I mean it is completely up to you, but they may really blow you and FH away.

Re: Almost..Almost
Honestly you have soooo much time. There is no reason to stress about venue or settle at all. Take the time and go to as many halls as you need to fall in love!

yes, I know i have time but I want to get that out the way and I fell bad for the HUB having to drive into LI all the time to see places..

Re: Almost..Almost
So if you don't want to drag him into Long Island all the time go yourself or with a friend or family member some of the time. You can always go back with your FH if you like the place.
I know a few people who booked a place to be done and then totally ended up regretting it. Alot can change between now and August of 2013 (places can renovate, close, etc). Trust me from experience from my friend. Although it feels good to be done with the choice of venue it feels worse to regret the decision down the line.
Just my opinion.

Re: Almost..Almost
I would look at a few more places.
The Inn at New Hyde Park is ALL grand and not hotel-ish, so that might suit your purposes better and you won't have to change it around.

Re: Almost..Almost
I know you said that you love it but trying to convince your husband. I am a big believer in you should not have to convince him. You have time, don't settle

Don't rush to book the RH! You wouldn't want to regret not seeing a place because you are anxious to book. Definitely take a look at the Inn at New Hyde Park! I know i'm biased because I booked there, but it's just GORGEOUS!
FH and I were going to look at 2 other places a few days after that but we were so taken with the place that we went a few days later to leave our deposit!
Good luck on your search! It's a very exciting time
