MyFH and I came into the relationship with children and we had 1 together. I wanted to incorporate all of the children into the ceremony. I thought instead of us lighting a unity candel we would let the children do it ( they are old enough) but my FH didnt really like that idea. Does anyone have any other ideas that would signify bringing the 2 families together?
How about a sand ceremony when they each pour a different color sand....I think I saw that on a wedding show once
How about the sand ceremony. You can all be a apart of it. You can incorporated different for the children and colors for you and fh and you can pour them into a nice vase or something. I have also seen some people do a blessing for the family by the minister. HTH
That was such a good idea. That way we would have it forever. Each kid could pur their favorite color. Thanks guys.

FH already has 2 boys and part of the ceremony is to recognize the families coming together. we are gettng some sort of family medallion type thing (they make a charm or pin or other stuff) and we will present it to them to show the joining of the families and a few words will be said
