Um, I would say def go for a hair & make up trial...it was good to play around with my look. However, I highly reccomend Jacqueline Nicole from www.prettyme.com & Andrea from www.*******************

They did makeup for my bridal party and everyone looked unbelievable GORGEOUS, not too made up, just glam & gorgeous. If you really don't want to pay for a trial, I would say its safe to book with either of them, they both do AMAZING work.

I have no problem paying for the trials. Its more a timing issue. Sorry for not fully explaining myself. I live in DC and my wedding and all vendors are in NY.
I am running into problems with one vendor.

Thanks for your help. I'll be checking out your recommended people.

OOohhh oops, I'm sorry. I spent like way too much on trials when I was planning, that's just where my head was at when I replied.

I did a hair and makeup trial with the salon I booked and I'm very glad I did. I wasn't crazy about my makeup after the trial and they easily changed it the day of the wedding. You don't want to have you hair or makeup done and then you don't like it on your wedding day.

im glad i went for trials but on the ontherhand, i still didnt know what i wanted for my hair until that day. im glad i went to make sure they did a good job and i like them but i also think that it could change a lot from the trials to the day of as far as what you want exactly

I wouldn't forego either. It really is too important unless you are already familiar with the person's work.

I would definitely go for at least one trial. I got my hair done for the e-party and had not done a trial beforehand... It turned out to b a mess! I ended up not paying the lady and undo'ing my hair before I left the salon. I definitely didn't wanna deal with that for the wedding so I had 2 trials and decided on my hair beforehand and the same for the make up.

Definitely go for the trials. This way you and your stylist know what to do on your day of. You dont want to just wing it and end up not liking it on your big day.
