How many people RSVP'ed 'yes' and than bailed the week of or just didn't show?

And I had no idea about them until I was looking around the room when we were having dinner, no one had the courtesy to call beforehand and let us know

I only had one couple and one person say they were coming and not show... so total 3 people.....

we actually had 3 ppl come last minute
2 BEGGED FIL to get invited the WEEK OF THE WEDDING. they showed up right before we cut the cake.
few days later fil said that they passed comments 'that was the most expensive dessert we ever had'
really ????
oh and they wrote our card

oh god.....like 8 or 9
some were people who cancelled the day before and a few were people who came without a date even though they rsvp'd with someone....grrrrrrrrrrrr

ahhh this thread is making me nervous.. i will never know if people dont show up because I have mansion style. its making me want to undercut the final count

I kind of want to cut people off my final cut just in case. Like my FSIL. LOL I just wanted to know if this really happens and how often. Thanks!!! Now I have something more to worry about.

you didn't know that?? yea that stupid crazy b*tch, after everything she put me through with having a white dress, then not paying for the RD.....she didn't even show up! and i lost money in the end! hence we have not spoken to her since the wedding.

nobody cancelled,
but a total of 9 (4 invited + guests, 1 invited solo) were no shows...thats over a grand!!!

We had two couples no show. 1 was nice enough to have his girlfriend call one of our friends & let us know that he had a super bad allergy attack that day & his throat almost closed & that was why they missed the wedding. I felt that was a good enough reason. The other couple was my sisters boyfriends brother & his wife. In April his wife was 2 months prego & she text my sister the week of the wedding & just said oh, we can't make the wedding & gave some lame prego excuse. I didn't get too annoyed with this lunatic because his parents where at the wedding & my mom told me that his mom was super pissed off with her daughter-in-law. & even more annoyed that her son didn't just leave her home & come to the wedding himself.

9 Friend + guest – just didn’t show then sent a card apologizing that she was sick Couple – left VM on my mom’s machine 3 weeks prior but the machine is messed up and we didn’t get the message Couple – was sick day of, called that morning to let us know DH’s cousin – supposedly sick Couple - DH’s mom’s neighbors who we didn’t want there in the first place. Apparently something went down with them and DH’s mom so they didn’t show
