Already posted this in the honeymoon forums, but has anyone gone to a Club Med resort?

They have a special on right now where the second person is 1/2 off. So we're thinking of going to the maldives.........or turks and caicos, but not sure about their resorts! Can anyone share their experiences with me? Thanks girls!

I cannot say enough about Turks and Caicos Club med!!!!
FH and I went there last June...it was awesome!!!!!
We spent $16 the whole weekend, everything is literally included like the flying trapeze, kayaks, snorkeling, and good liquor and beer!!!
FM if you want my travel agent's info...she might be able to get you an even better deal plus the flight!!

ClubMed is awesome!!! I have been to Cancun and Turks and Caicos. We actually got engaged last may at the Turks one. It is beautiful and wonderful and active and relaxing and just great. The Turks and Caicos Club Med is the only 18 and over one left since the hurricane hit Cancun. You will love it!!!!

i also have to say I have been to the Turks and Caicos club med and it was one of the best vacations of my life!!!! and the beach there is awesome...it is alot of fun!!!!!

I LOVE Club Med. We went to the one in T&C and it was awesome! I went with my MOH and we had the best time ever.

I would worn you though, there is nothing luxary about the place. Would I do it for my HM? Probably not. It's really, really fun though.

FH went to Turks Club Med and he said he had the Best Time. Nothing bad to say about it...

FH and I went to the Turks one last March. I didn't really like it. I think I would of liked it more if I was single and with my girlfriends. I hated that you had to eat with other people every night. I think it isn't the best place for a honeymoon. But that is just my opinion.

I LOVED Club med in Turks and Caicos!!!!
Only negative thing I can say is that there are tooooo many mosquitos So if you do go, make sure that your bring bug spray!!!
Like one poster said, there is nothing luxurios about it but I had a blast!!! I actually wanted to go here for our HM but we couldnt get a flight home

I know I promised pics but I don't have them on my work computer. I will post some tonight.

As for the resort, they were hit by a huge hurricane in 2005/6 and closed for renovations. I was there in May 06 when they reopened and it was very nice. My sister had been in 04 and was there in 06 and said it was like night and day after the renovation.
