ok im a horrid speller.... pancreas is what helps the body digest food.

it breaks down fatty foods, oils and other fats .

it works with the stomach, gallblatter (sp) and intestines.

the pancreas omits juices that help the body digest and it can either produce too much (and eat its self) or too little and the intestine cant absorb the food...

his body from how i understnad is not producing enough, and has a real tough time digesting fatty oily foods.
(dairy, nuts)

The pancreas is a gland near our stomach & intestines that makes insulin to help us regulate our blood sugar and enzymes to digest our food.

Have him get in touch with his Dr. I'm sure a nutritionist can be recommended who can definately come up with diet ideas.

Sorry to hear that. I know how much things like this can interfer with everyday life...I have to watch my diet for digestive reasons.
Here are some websites that might be helpful.

http://www.pancreatitis.org.uk/chap_d.html
http://www.noweightgaincookbooks.com/Benefits/Benefits-pancr.htm

There was a ton when I googled it.

If it helps at all from what I read, try to shop at places like whole foods and trader joes -- they have a lot more choices then regular super markets.
