If you HAD to choose a different place to hold your reception, where would it be? (pretend your place doesn't exist!)
Ill post mine after I think about it....

Gotham Hall, just the food wasn't what we wanted our what our families would expect

Re: Also for fun...
this is going to sound silly but i can't imagine choosing another hall. our hall is so small and on the water and it's exactly what we wanted. there wasn't another place we looked that was so us. i can't imagine it anywhere else.

Re: Also for fun...
I truely do not have another venue that I am in love with, so I guess I made the right choice for me.
I would probably choose something unconventional if I had to, like Hammerstein ballroom. My rh is an old theatre so thats why I love it

Re: Also for fun...
I LOVE my hall. But if it didn't exist and money wasn't an issue, i would have liked to have done either The Nonantum resort in Maine, or The Samoset Resort in Maine. In NYC I think a Loft Wedding would have been very elegant.

Prob the Oheka Castle, we would prob had gotten away with it, if we were having an off-peak wedd, but we wanted a summer wedd and it was almost $500 pp and I didnt think the food was enough for my family

Disney World.
I was origianlly supposed to get married on the spot that we were engaged, Japan in Epcot Center with the reception at The Living Seas VIP Room and an Illuminations Dessert Party on the Italy Isola.
Due to issues I don't want to get into.....it never worked out.
I'm still kind of bitter, but whatever, my wedding will be great either way.

if money were someething i had tons of...my dream would be to pay for everyones airfare/hotel stay in the caribbean...get married there have the reception there...with EVERYONE...and the only thing they had to do would be to take a day off of work.
but everything else paid by me...thats where i would want to hold it!..
in my dreams.

Probably Flowerfields, we came close to getting married there but our place won me over. However I would have it a few months later so we could do it outside.
