I saw Jennbaby's post on Fortunoffs registry and wanted to let you all know what I found with the Macys online registry. Macys just had their HUGE Home sale. So when you go to macys.com my china would be $64.50 on sale, but when you go to macys bridal registry online and go to buy the china from my registry, ITS NOT THE SALE PRICE! I went through it like I was going to buy it and they still charged full price through the end of the process!!!! That makes me sooooo mad!!!

That is so unfair. Macy's is usually good, too, with price adjustments and stuff.

that's interesting...whenever there was a sale in the store my prices went down online as well. I thought Macy's was really good like that. Although I didn't watch my online registry, I did monitor my sister in law's online and that when I knew to go buy stuff..watched for sales/price changes.

It is only for certain items that they didn't bring down the price. Very frustrating.

Another thing with Macy's registry if you want to return something that you got and it is back to full price, they will not credit you with the full purchase price of what the person paid for it. I only registered there for convienence and for things that I know I would really not want to exchange.

Shamma...So if a person bought the gift at full price, they still wouldn't credit me full price for it?

Karen, I hear ya. Macy's is terrible like that. I've had friends who've registered there and when I go to buy them a gift off their registry but then see it's on sale in the store (and the sale price NOT reflected on the registry!), it REALLY burns me up. Worse, I've bought the same item from the store to save $$ but it didn't get credited to the registry because it was on sale, and so the bride ended up getting TWO of what I bought! GRRRR.
On the upside, I LOVE Williams Sonoma. That's the other place we registered and they are excellent about updating the registry with sale prices!
