I had my fist fitting yesterday and the tailor told me that it's going to cost $300 for my alteration. Is that too much? How much are you ladies paying for Alt.
it depends on how much detail your dress has..usually it's much cheaper if your dress in plain..what kind of alteration are you doing?
She's putting cups inside because the dress is V-neck front and back so I can't wear a bra. She's taking about 1/2 inch off the length but the dress has beeds/crystal and it's a cheer material. On the top she's putting a bone in on one side to even it out with the other
That seems a bit high to me. I am having my alterations done at David's Bridal and they cost me about $190 or so. I also had cups put in, they have to let out the top breast area, they are adding a bustle and they are chopping off a few inches to hem it for me. The hem was the most expensive part - it was $95 by itself. I feel like even what I paid was a bit much, but I didn't want to take any chances taking my dress somewhere else. I bought it there so that's why I'm having the alterations done there.
