Alteration experience from He**

This is for all the ladies that bought their BM dresses & gowns from Bridal Couture..yes.. another horror story.

I bought dresses from Watters & Watters which meant I pretty much had to buy them from BC since they are a premier retailer.

Well, the alterations were done horribly. The tulle overlay on the skirts were bunched up on the sides where the dresses had to be taken in. The tops were huge and they took it in so much in the arms that my one BM was getting red marks in her armpits! When she asked them to take it back out they said it wasn't that necessary for her to be able to move her arms since she'd be holding onto her flowers at the church! My MOH had to get the dress sent to her and she is having another tailor redo the alterations.

I already wrote a letter to Watters & Watters suggesting that they do not retail through Bridal Couture anymore. When I am back from my honeymoon I am going to the better business bureau.

If you can stay away, do.

BC strikes again....

I wouldn't be surprised if Watters writes back saying they aren't even authorized to deal. That's what the dress maker of a gown I wanted told me!

oh my god. i am so sorry to hear of your horror.

dont let them ruin your day. enjoy your day and have fun. when you return from your HM, just a suggestion, write to the president of the company and find out if you can get the presidents phone number and call him. you may get his secretary but you'll be surprised of how problems are resolved.

I'm glad you have the gowns though...I'm sure it can all be fixed now that they are out of their hands.

Same here! I found out through another salon that BC wasn't authorized to carry my designer either.

I am totally stressed just hearing that - I orderd my BM dresses from them since my MOH and 2 other firends have gotten their bridal gowns from there and raved about them! My dresses are due to come in April/May for my Sept wedding ....

i am sorry to hear you went through this - BC makes me sick - and i freakin ordered my gown PLUS my BM dresses there. i just PRAY im one of the lucky ones who come out 'unharmed.'

as a side, i ordered my gown in july and it's not in yet -- anyone else find that odd? or am i within normal time frame?

Miro - they didn't give you an arrival date when you ordered? I would definitely stay on their b*tt until your dress comes in. but in a nice way since they seem to get a even more difficult when someone tries to stick up for themselves! perhaps you can check with the manufacturer to make sure the order was placed properly and to put your mind at ease!? good luck.
PS - i think 6-8 months is normal, but mine is coming in 3.
