Does anyone know of any wedding places that will do alterations on weddings gown that are not bought at their location? I am trying to help someone out in the event they need an alternative place to go.
I recommend Phyllis at Gownfind!!! I bought my dress at David's and didn't trust them and mant LIW brides suggested Phyllis and she has been wonderful so far!!!
If you go to a bridal salon, they will charge you an arm and a leg. Don't know where you're looking, but try Filomena's Dressmaking in Coram. SHe did a great job on a BM dress for me, and my bridal gown!

Same exact situation - I have had nothing but positive experiences with Phyllis...although she is a bit overwhelmed
I think Bridal Suite in Centereach will do this.

Hello, I actually work at this location, Just to let you know that way its not a waste for you, they don't do outside alterations. But we recommend a place called Rosie's Tailoring that is located in Selden which she does a fabulous job! I have had many things altered there.
