So I purchased my fantastic Demetrios wedding dress at Macy's. I've had one bridesmaid dress altered there and was not all that thrilled. I'm not starting my alterations yet, but I need to start deciding where I'm going to have it done. Does anyone have any bridal dress experience and feedback with Macy's in Lake Grove? If I didn't have it altered there does anyone have any recommendations where to take it?

I have the most AMAZING seamstress. She does it from her house in Farmingdale. She actually works at Bridal Reflections, but does work on the side. I didn't get my dress at Bridal Reflections, so she was able to do my alterations on the side for me.

Where did your girls get their dresses from? I am with Bridal Reflections for now.

If you need a seamstress, try Alterations Unlimited by Gina in Deer Park. She does fabulous work for reasonable cost.
I was very happy with my dress alterations. I used Rosie's Tailoring in Centereach. It's just down the road from the Smithaven Mall.
Alternations Unlimited by Gina in Deer Park does great work.

How much time do you need for alterations?? I'm less than 8 weeks out and my dress isn't in yet! :-O
Can someone please send me the seamstress info? I'm picking up my dress on Wednesday from a store in Virginia but would rather have it altered on Long Island. Have been asking bridal stores but they told me that they do not touch dresses that haven't been purchased there....
