Has anyone had their gown alterations done at Commack WC? I have heard so-so reviews about them. I do not want them to mess up my dress. Any advice (good or bad) would be great! Thanks!

Re: Alterations at Commack Wedding Center
Go elsewhere!!!!
That's the thing I was told to do by many brides. I got my entire package of wedding vendors from them, and love them! But I was told to go elsewhere for alterations.
If you're near Coram, I can recommend a seamstress. Just FM me.

Re: Alterations at Commack Wedding Center
I am getting a BM dress done at Angel Bridals in East Islip for a wedding I am in, see if they do outside alterations. Worth a shot especially since you have heard so so reviews done at the wedding center.

Re: Alterations at Commack Wedding Center
Buying the dress there was fine (fine but still not great) but myself and another bridesmaid had problems with alterations recently.
Bascially, I went in for a BM fitting and they pinned me and when I went to pick it up it was still HUGE on me and I had to convince them that it was necessary to take more fabric in (like an inch on each side!). The dress I was wearing also had fabric that criss-crossed on my chest and I want them to stitch it better so that you couldn't look through to my bra and they told me 'that's how it's supposed to be and that I can safety pin it the day of the wedding'. I was like, excuse me? Aren't I paying you to do this??? Well they did end up doing it and it turned out ok but it was annoying. And my friend's dress was altered too small and she had to convince them to let fabric out.
So I think buying the dress there is fine because they are way cheaper but keep in mind you then have the issue of where to send your girls for alterations and how much that would run into.
