Alterations at Kleinfelds or Bridal Reflections

I've fallen in love with a Lazaro dress, I've tried on many dresses and I know this is the dress I want
I first found tried it on at Bridal Reflections. When I asked, they offered me a discount. I wanted to still try Kleinfelds for the experience also that they have so many beautiful dresses. Kleinfelds also sells the Lazaro dress, I this dress was still my favorite. Kleinfelds matched Bridal Reflection's offer.

If the dress is the same price at Kleinfeld's or Bridal Reflection's there are two things to consider: 1. Bridal Reflections is local for fittings 2. Am I better going with Kleinfelds because they're better known for alterations?

Please give advice girls Please share any experiences with alterations.

Anyway, it's very exciting and I feel like a million bucks in the dress

I would rather be closer to the bridal salon personally! Makes alterations easier and if anything were to go wrong it is easier to run there and back

Honestly, Bridal Reflections worked MIRACLES for me in terms of alterations. I'm not sure if the price is less since my alterations were included (I purchased a sample). I can definitely recommend Bridal Reflections...I was not happy with my dress and the way things were going and posted here about my distress...the general manager gave me a call personally and brought me in so that she and her head seamstress could see the dress for themselves and assess it. Its my experience that they will do anything and everything they can to ensure you have a good experience.

I had the same exact problem as you. Finally, I chose BR b/c I wanted to be close to my dress instead of going into the city two or three times in one month for alterations. My alterations went perfectly fine at BR, we even did some custom work and it came out beautifully.

I would say go with Bridal Reflections for the convenience and also, not sure if you know, but Kleinfeld charges a flat fee of $600 for alterations

when i negotiated the price of my dress with BR i had them include the price of alterations. Maybe you can do that with BR? Since Kleinfeld's matched their price, make BR try to win you over with an added perk.

Thank you for the responses! It's so nice to also see who else is getting Lazaro dresses Besides matching the price of the dress, Kleinfelds also offered to split the cost of 'Hollow to hem' with me. From my understanding, that's the cost of ordering the dress with my height in mind so that details at the bottom of the dress are not taken away if the dress is simply taken up. I am going to go back to BR and see if they'll do anything else to win me over. I'm uncomfortable with pushing but my mom has no problem with it (haha). It's so hard to tell if one alteration department is better than the other. Alterations are super important with any style of dress, but this is a fit to flare so I want them to work miracles with my shape
