Alterations at Macy's

Hi,

Can anyone tell me how much you paid to have your dress altered at Macy's (and which Macy's)?

I loved a dress at Macy's in NYC and the price was SO reasonable. I just wanted an idea of how much I might have to pay for alterations since I don't think they have a cap.

I got my dress at Macys Manhasset and there was no cap on alterations. They wanted me to pay over 500 for alterations and all they did was pull in my dress about an inch and a small hem. I said no way and went elsewhere

I think you should ask becasue I was thinking about having the top of the dress changed (making it strapless) and it was only going to be 175 for that which was a lot of work.....so I cant see my alterations being $500

I bought mine @ the macy's in manhasset I recall the sales associate telling me it was capped @ 150. I won't know until I go for my first fittin in Feb.
