Alterations at RK Bridal?

Does anyone have any experience with getting alterations at RK Bridal?

They have awesome prices on their dresses.

Experience on pricing for what they do and most importantly quality?

I had my reception dress altered at RK and I really didn't have a problem. It's very no frills though. They did order me a very large size. They ordered me a size 12 when I am a size 4 and I had to pay the full price of alterations

But they did do a good job.

To make a long story short, they did a great job on the alterations towards my last appointment.
But in the interim of it all, it was a bit chaotic for me. Because it's a warehouse the seamstress are in a rush ti get you in and out and I felt they didn't really listen to what I wanted--
After they saw how extremely dissatisfied I was, they decided to get themselves together.

All in all, they did a really good job, but don't expect them to be friendly-- they're too busy for that.

I've heard NOT great things about their alterations there. I know someone whose bustle completely fell out at the wedding.

Why not buy the dress there and take it to a reputable seamstress? I'm sure the ladies on here can refer you to someone in your area.

same here. I am having mine done elsewhere, I have heard too many bad things and I really dont want to chance it. whats the point of spending all this $ on a beautiful dress if it doesnt fit you properly and the bustle falls apart before you even enter your reception? i'm not saying they havent done great jobs for some, but its just not a risk i feel like taking.

I would NOT recommend getting your alterations done at RK. For starters, they charge a ridiculous amount of money for BASIC alterations ($350). I was considering having cups put in, and they wanted an additional $75!! - after they had just scammed me out of $350 for doing nothing! Plus their workmanship is a joke - I had a french bustle (with ties, not hooks) put in, and it broke literally 10 minutes in to my reception. The entire night my friends and bridal attendant were pinning we up. And while the seamstresses are super sweet - they speak zero english, so communicating your basic issues with them is impossible.

I would definitely definitely purchase your dress at RK - but go elsewhere for alterations!
