Alterations, bustle, extras...

How much are you guys paying for alterations or what's your cap? Did that include the bustle? What bout extras, like spaghetti straps if you wanted those added?

I'm curious to see if my salon's costs are reasonable or if I'm being ripped off!

My salon caps it at $250

i think my alterations were capped at $350 (or $300...cant remember)

My cap was @ $245 and they made sure they met that, which I expected, but my bustle is going to cost another $100 and adding spaghetti straps will be an additional $100.

I'm sorry, but spaghetti straps should not cost $100! And I thought 'cap' meant that was the most a place would charge?

You could argue it...I read the post where they measured you wrong (did they think you would still grow?!?) so technically it's THEIR fault that those alterations were necessary...I'm sure you assumed that the bustle would be covered in that $245 cap (I would!). Maybe you could talk to them?

I'm paying a $175.00 cap on alterations. Not having a bustle because I have a detachable cathedral train.

I think $100.00 extra for spaghetti straps is ludicrous.
