i have a bcbg dress that needs alterations - the hem needs to be taken up higher, i need cups sewn in and it might need to be taken in a little depending on if i lose any more weight....has anyone ever taken a regular dress for alterations like that? any recommendations? i hate to just bring it to the dry cleaners - the dress was a few hundred dollars so id be pissed if they messed it up on me....should i try calling nordstroms? that is where i ordered it from

Not sure where your are located, but I have an amazing seamstress in Astoria. I had brought my RD dress to her to have similar alterations to what you are describing, and she did a great job. FM me if you would like her info.

I have taken party dresses in to be altered , I have a good seamstress in Forest Hills, let me know if you want her info. She is super busy right now for prom season ( i just dropped a dress off for her to take in ) but the turnaround is usually a few days
