Alterations help

I spent $300 for my altertions & everything is wrong. I brought it back once but it's still not right. (he thinks it is so if I want him to fix it again he will charge me more)
I guess at this point I should just go somewhere else but it just kills me that I paid him so much $ for nothing.
Any suggestions? Where else could I go? I live in nassau county so someone around here would be more convenient. Thanks
