I went to a bridal store to purchase my dress and we asked for the best price, as I had found it very cheap on the internet, but was skeptical to buy it online. After the price was reduced and I got measured, things got a little hetic and I signed the invoice and put down a deposit. When I got home I noticed that the price for alterations were capped at $200 but there was a separate price for a bustle listed at $125. Is this how much alterations cost because I kind of feel like they took the price off the dress and then moved it to the alterations. Any thoughts?

Re: Alterations... Is this right?
My alterations were included in the price of my dress. However, they are charging $100 for a bustle.

Re: Alterations... Is this right?
The alterations part seems about right. My dress was under $1,000 and my alterations were capped at $250 and thy only had to take in the top!
The bustle was a cheaper bustle, so it cost me $80. It depends on wha they have to do to the dress ad what kind of bustle I suppose.

This sounds very reasonable to me. I know a lot of girls who paid a lot more for their alterations.

My alterations at Kleinfeld's were super expensive (but well worth it). That sounds like a good price.

Re: Alterations... Is this right?
My alterations (and my dress) were quite expensive. No matter the price of the dress, alterations were capped at $400 including bustle. I thinks it's a reasonable price.
