I just found out my store doesn't cap them and I'm upset about it. I thought it was an industrywide practice and I want to figure out if I was wrong abou tthat....

My store caps for bride, bridesmaid, MOB... etc. Bustle is extra. I thought it was standard too...

does the cap mean that you can have as many fittings/alterations as you want and they can only charge you up to a certain amount (meaning the cap)?

yup - it means if your alterations are going to exceed the cap, that's too bad, they can't charge more than the cap. i was in a wedding 4 years ago and the BM dresses were from bridal reflections and i think our cap was around $55.

my wedding dress cap is 100....BMs are 75

that would worry me...cause they can tell you ' well the alterations were 100000 lol but they were only like 75.......i wold talk to them, maybe order them somewhere else?

i can't order them elsewhere
They are Priscilla of Boston and I can only get them there....
the dress is short though, so I'm thinking everything SHOULD be ok. But, while I was in there, a girl was there who dropped 6 dress sizes and they were charging her $140...I don't really expect any of my BMs to drop THAT much weight, hopefully...

i got very different quotes from every store i tried gowns on in
the place where i wound up ordering does cap, but others dont or their cap may be higher (or lower)
