Alterations Stress

Alterations Stress

So... I am trying my hardest to be the understanding 'Non-bridezilla' bride. I found my dress and the price is reasonable and all of my girls agreed to it which was amazing in and of itself. (I have 8 girls!)

But I went to talk to the bridal store last night - Here Comes The Bridesmaid - which gave me an INCREDIBLE price on the dresses but they do not do alterations. Which I knew about. But then they told me that they measure the waist, the boobs and the hips but not the length of my T-Length gown. So most definitely there will be a few girls at least that will need it hemmed. Fine. Everyone does that.

But what about the torso area for my petite girls? And how long should the dress be from the hip? And do you think they are going to be Pissed off that they have to find their own seamstress?? I just feel bad...

What do you girls think?

Can you ask them if they know any tailors ? Does the dress have details like beading or crystals at the hem that would get ruined by alterations? If it is a plain dress, i woudln't think it would be too hard to alter just the hem.

Where are you getting your Wedding Dress altered? Can you ask them if they'd to your BM's also?
