Re: altereations
I'm going to Phyllis at Gownfind. Many LIW brides recommended her to me and I see her in a few weeks for my first appt!

Ditto. I was there last week and she was great. Taught me a little trick too if I lose too much weight in my upper body between now and the wedding... Just unsnap the first few snaps to let me loose a little, fill out the bodice more.
What person gives you choices like that instead of trying to convince you that you need alterations and to spend more dough?
Phyllis, that's who. She comes highly reccommended and for good reason.

Re: altereations
Is Phyllis expensive? Where is she located? MY BM didn't want to pay the $$$$ to get her dress altered at the bridal store b/c they were expensive. But she has lost a lot of weight so the dress is big on her. She asked a friend to do it but she didnt want to b/c she was nervous being it had to be taken in so much.

Re: altereations
Bella Vie Bridal. I recc. a girl there off of LIWeddings and her wedding was like 3 weeks away. The lady at Bella Vie saved the day. She is a great person and a great seamstress. Prices are also reasonable. I bougt my girls dresses from the Wedding Center of Commack and went to her for alterations. I think her cap for alterations is $55 or 60.
She is located on Merrick Road in Lynbrook

Re: altereations
As for cost - some brides paid around $150 from what I gathered and BM paid around $50-80.
