FH and I own our apartment and we don't plan on selling it to get a house anytime soon. We basically have everything we need and we're not sure if we should do a bridal registry. Having a bridal registry for household items (as per tradition) will mean that we have to put the gifts in storage. Is there anything else we can do instead? Any ideas? Is anyone else in this situation or knows anyone in this situation? If yes, what did you or the person end up doing?

Re: Alternative....
you can do a honeymoon registry. that way people can pay for different things for your honeymoon (ie. excursions, dinners, etc)

Re: Alternative....
yeah, my fiance and I are in the same situation. We have 3 registries:
Amazon (we have random things here from artwork, to cool kitchen appliances, to furniture, to a playstation 3)
Williams-Sonoma has new and upgraded kitchen items (pots & pans, mostly)
Honeymoon Wishes Registry (honeymoonwishes.com) is basically a place for people to give you cash gifts (but the cash is set to go towards something for your honeymoon). Ultimately, the company sends you a check a few weeks before the wedding. It's a good alternative :)

We don't have our 'fine china' per se, but what we have right now are nice great quality items. Getting fine china and a new luggage as a bridal gift would mean I have to pay for storage to store them and that defeats the purpose.

Re: Alternative....
my friend did myregistry.com where you can basically 'register' with any store's website in one spot. They also were building a house so they registered for building materials...I bought their bedroom door!
