Anyone not walking in to the traditional 'here comes the bride?' I'd like to use something contemporary...definitely not classical. Something with words. Any ideas? Please?

Re: Alternative to the 'Wedding March'
Did you check the websites with wedding songs, they often have contemporary prosessional songs....

Re: Alternative to the 'Wedding March'
how about a tune from a musical? a friend of mine walked down to 'all i ask of you' from phantom of the opera. 'one hand, one heart' from west side story is also really pretty.
i'm thinking of walking to this great arrangement of pachelbel's canon that i got off this website: www.capandgownweddings.com
it has guitar and strings, and the guitar makes it sound less 'classical'.

Re: Alternative to the 'Wedding March'
A song I love which has a pretty instrumental is 'Somewhere Over the Rainbow' from 'Meet Joe Black.' It's sung by a Hawaiian singer (I think) Israel Kamakawiwo. I'm trying to incorporate it somehow either into the wedding or on our video.

I keep going back to 'because you loved me' by celine dion. It's such a pretty song..and the lyrics are appropriate. BUt Jonn HATES celine dion and would probably run away if that song came on.

I walked down the aisle to 'So This Is Love' from Cinderella (no words though, played by string trio) and BP walked down to 'A Dream Is A Wish (Your Heart Makes)' - also from Cinderella.

Re: Alternative to the 'Wedding March'
do churches allow you to walk down the aisle to songs other then those suggested by the church?
