I am not planning on doing either of the above and am looking for ideas for an alternative...a friend of mine did the anniversary dance thing but I did not pay attention to what was given away at the end....anyone have any insight or has anyone out there done something different that they could share?? thank you very much in advance

at the end of our anniversary dance, I will present my throw away bok to the last remaining 'bride' on teh dancefloor - the one who has been married the longest
we will have the band play thru the years for the anniversary dance....

This is what I did. It was very touching. I gave my throwaway bo-k to my aunt and uncle married 62 years. It was really sweet.

I think that is the nicest thing to do. I really cant wait to do it. No one in my family has done it so I want to kind of keep it a surprise although they nay have seen it somewhere else.

My grandmother died about one year before my wedding and I had one left. DH had none. So, I called my grandmother up and presented her with the bouquet. She was very touched and said it was the nicest thing she had ever seen at a wedding. We gave the centerpieces away to the couples that had been married the longest at each table.

We are NOT doing a garter toss, but I will throw the bouquet. I haven't decided if I should throw it to just the single ladies or to all the women. Regardless, whoever catches the bouquet will get a little gift basket.
We will also do the anniversary dance and give a little gift basket to the couple married the longest. I'm pretty sure it will be my aunt and uncle!
