ALWAYS LOOKING FOR ATTENTION

ALWAYS LOOKING FOR ATTENTION

So I told my BM's that they can get silver/charcoal shoes to match the dress. They dont need to wear the same shoe as long as they will match...

My sister just emails me and says 'I just found this HOT pair of shoes for your wedding'

are your girls wearing long or short dresses? If they are long, who cares! But, if they are short I see what you mean.

Do they have long dresses? If their dresses are long I wouldnt worry about it- you wont even see their shoes and no one will notice!

Well shes the MOH so she made hers tea length so she would stand out ... These are like shoes Id wear to a club not a wedding. These IMO are NOT bridesmaid shoes. Im worried how short she even cut her dress considering how she HATES not being center of attention ..

Re: ALWAYS LOOKING FOR ATTENTION

I told my girls they could wear any shoes they wanted as long as they were silver.

My MOH wanted to get the same shoes as me (in silver). I was honestly bothered by this.

But I just kept telling myself- THEY'RE SHOES!!! No one will see anyone shoes. They didn't even see or notice my shoes!

I know its hard right before the wedding because you sweat the small stuff (I was doing the same thing). Just remember, people will be looking at you, not your sister!

Thanks. I know youre right. When I was in her wedding - she made us wear the UGLIEST dresses ... Its just what she does - she wouldve had a heartattack if I had picked those shoes for hers. We dresssed like a grandmother for her wedding. So ugly.

I agree with you they do not look appropriate for a bridal party. But with that said...no one will notice her they will all be looking at you. If she did make her dress too short and wears inappropriate shoes she just makes herself look foolish. Try not to stress about her.

she is TOTALLY going to look ridiculous with those shoes that are not formal. Don't stress about it because she is not wearing white and no one cares about her!

I would flip out if she were wearing a tea length dress with those shoes to my wedding so I don't blame you. I'd make her return them.

IMO a tea length dress and those shoes are going to look re-freaking-diculous together. That's what I would tell her not that they aren't BM like shoes.

Honestly if it were me I wouldn't care...if only because nobody is going to be looking at her shoes, no matter what they will be looking at you.

The only way they'll be looking at her is to say 'wow, she looks ridiculous, what was she thinking??'

Re: ALWAYS LOOKING FOR ATTENTION

why dont you pick out shoes for her. tell herr, since your dress is short and shoes will show i want you to wear these ---

everyone with long dresses, i dont care

seriously. i know in the long run no one cares about shoes.....but if years from now you are still cringing looking at bridal party pictures cuz she wore 'club shoes' then you shouldnt even give her a choice!

if you think years from now you wont give a hoot, then who cares.

its really how you think u will feel

but i wouldnt give her a choice if you are afraid of her choices

If you really hate them just tell her no. If her dress was long that would be a different story.

Dont apologize. If thats your taste thats cool - everybodys entitled to their own opinion. Mine is that they are not shoes for a bridal party.
