ANyone update their computer using Microsoft Updates? I mean, this thing comes up almost ever time we turn the puter on or Off, but we always ignore it...well I checked it out today because my computer is kind of acting up...AND it has 40 security updates to do!!!!!!! Yikes!! WHy did not do these before, I have no idea....Does anyone do these on a regular basis?? I think I better get my act together qnd do these!! LEt me KNow...I ran my anti-virus and no viruses were found or anythingm, but it was all running so slowww.....

Our computer guy told us we should get the updates so we do on a fairly regular basis.

Holly, I do the same thing. But after reading your post I clicked the button at the bottom to start downloading them all. It's going pretty quick. Just hit the button to download them.

You should always update it. The updates are improvements which help to protect your computer from viruses, help it run better, etc.

That's good to know. Sometimes I ignore them too just because I'm in a rush and need my computer for work. But you're right - when I do these updates, they are quick.

Well, I did the first one that they recommend----and it took 141 minutes!!! Yikes!! but my comptuer is now speedy and great!! So it was all worth it!!
