So I new to the site...have been reading along and there is some great information on the site. So thank you ladies.
Just got engaged last month and I am feeling like I am already behind in the planning process. Haven't even set a firm date yet. Somebody tell me it's gonna be alright!
Also could someone explain what 'bump' means?

first of all, congratulations on your engagement. :)
second of all, i don't think youre behind, really. It wouldn't hurt to start getting ideas for certain things, but in terms of setting a particular date, I don't think you need to do that right now.
i'm new to the site, too.... and also clueless, but from reading about other peoples experiences i'm pretty sure youre alright.

Congrats on your engagement! Dont feel like you're behind. The great thing about a long engagement is that you have plenty of time to do appropriate research so that your wedding comes out exactly the way you want. I'd start with doing some research on reception halls which is what FH and I started out with so that we could have our date set. And the ladies on this site are incredibly helpful, so ask as many questions as you need! We're all here to support each other!!

Congratulations!! I thought I was behind b/c I only had my Reception Hall booked, but I was reassured that im not..just get ideas (most you can get from this site) and enjoy!!

You are not behind at all!! Take all the time you need to enjoy your engagement, everyone does things at their own pace. Just remember that people have planned weddings in months...we about 2 years!

Youre not behind. The fact that you signed on to a message board for 09 brides is the start-I havent booked anything yet. So dont feel so bad-besides it is 2 years away-it might help to start doing your research now just to have a heads up on things..Good luck!

Dont feel behind...and welcome to the LIW.
I didn't book my hall until a year after I was engaged...so no your not far behing that's what's great about having a long engagement..you have time to relax! Good luck with you planning.
