So far, FH and I are in love with Ariana... We also want to see the Sterling... But When shoudl we book? As soon as we know??? Or what?!!!!!!!!

We booked our RH at about a year out exactly!

By the way, I was talking to my cousin yesterday. She is engaged and not looking to spend a lot of money on her wedding. I think they are going to have about 85 guests. She told me that the Miller Place Inn has a deal for $89 a person which includes EVERYTHING- centerpieces, photography, DJ, limos. I have never been there, but have heard that the food is great. I thought maybe you would want to check it out!

My friend got married at sterling. It was pretty. If you don't have a set date yet, then its all good. That was the first thing we did because we wanted to get the word out ASAP. I suggest going to see a few a week and then try and narrow it down.

don't worry, and DON'T rush into it!! You don't want to make a bad decision because you feel like you have to do everything ASAP! I only booked early because I live far away and it was the one weekend I could get back. Take your time and seriously think about everything. This is the biggest day of your life, you want it to be perfect and well planned

you're totally ok. i had booked my hall back in June (about 15 months in advance). But i you'll be fine doing it at least by the 12 month mark
ETA: We didn't start looking for our hall until beginning of the year; it took about 6 months. But that's b/c i would go to look at a few here & there; and i had taken a few months off cause of the stress!

if you are sticking with an october date, then you still have alot of time! when you find something that you love, you should book it. if you want to see several RH a day, you can, but don't overdo it or all of them will start to look alike and you won't be able to remember anything specific about any on venue

Take your time picking your hall!! It is a huge decision to make and an expensive one at that.
Think of all the factors before booking. I literally went to over 15 halls to look at and never thought I would find one that me and my FH both liked together.
I wanted originally: an outside ceremony- which we gave up on since the most affordable mth for us was nov and can be chilly water view or garden view- villa has some gardens outside outside cocktail hr- they may be able to open up the cocktail hr doors if its warm and also its a glassed in atrium so its an outside feel!
I really loved Woodbury Country Club and Swan Club- almost booked there but decided to go with Villa since we have an italian family and know there was plenty of italian dishes to choose from.
I also liked westbury manor- they were very reasonably priced.

OMG, No! Maybe it's just me but you ladies on LIW are so ahead that you make people, like me, feel bad that I have hardly anything done
My cousin planned her wedding in 4 months, though she didn't get any sleep until it was all over. But, you have more than a year left if you are sticking with October so you will be just fine!!!

I only had one weekend to look at halls, so I definitely crammed them in there! I think it was rough doing it that way, it was very crazy driving all over the island seeing 5 places in 2 days. In the end, we ended up booking with FH's fave and my 2nd fave hall after we made pros and cons list. But once you walk into a place that was meant for you, you will know it and can book it!

I wouldn't worry at all. You've got time! And you don't want to rush to book anything unless you and your FH absolutely know you want to get married there.
My RH was the 3rd place my FH and I looked at and we just fell in love and knew we had to have our wedding there.

I was like that with the first place too!!!!!! We actually didn't go with the first choice though. It took us about 1month to decide and see the places we wanted we just kept going back to WM it was FHs choice as he always says it was the best bang for our buck and beautiful to boot.

We booked in July, and our wedding is next August. We looked at 5 places, and started looking in the spring. You're fine. My mom reminds me that some people can plan a wedding in a few months time if it has to happen like that....that the 11 months I have is plenty of time to get it all done. Relax!! It'll all come together!
