Am I behind?

I'm getting married Nov 6, 2004 and all I have is the hall and church...after seeing how much all of you have accomplished...I'm getting nervous!!!

I live in NYC and its so hard to get to Long Island without a car...and alot of places prefer you to come on a weeknight

Dont be nervous! I am getting married in June and I only booked my DJ and Photographer in the past week or so.

I work in NYC so its hard for me to make weeknight appts as well. My photographer was great about meeting us on the weekends! Actually almost all the photographers were willing to meet us on a weekend.

Develop a list in priority! My priortity was DJ and photographer so we go those out of the way quickly. I made a list of 4 of each. For photographer we went to all 4 and then found what we want. DJ I went to a showcase (during the week) that had 2 of the DJs my hall recommended and we chose one right there so that eliminated any searching!

I think once you see it on a list (I even went so far to assign tasks to each month - we only had 10 months to plan this) that will ease your mind! Its more than do-able!

Dont be nervous!! I got alot of things done way ahead of time only because Ima grad student and didnt want to deal with big wedding things while having to write a million research papers!!
If it makes you feel better, I think you are ahead of the game, we found our place in January and set the date for January, so we had one year to get it together. You are right where you need to be!!!
One bit of advice though, the good makeup people book up EARLY and I found the same about hair!!

I am behind too. So far i have my dress, the hall, my DJ and the church. This weekend i am looking at photograpghers. But like you i got nervous after reading how far others have gotten. I think it gave me the kick in the butt i needed. I also already called my maids to inform them that i plan to go looking for their dresses and should have them picked out no later then the end of nov.

Don't be nervous, I am getting married a month before you and only have the church, hall and photographer. My goal is to have all of my vendors by the end of the year, so I can start paying on them!
