Am I being a baby?

Am I being a baby?

If so, please tell me to let go of it...

I'm so pissed at FH. Our wedding is next week, and part of the reason why we picked next weekend is because I am so fanatical about halloween. I absolutely LOVE it! This whole time with the wedding planning I've been accomodating everyone else (FH, my mom, my dad, even my brothers), mostly because we aren't paying, so I've relented. But, the one thing I did demand is a costume party rehearsal dinner. I was sooooo excited, and have been thinking of cute couple costumes for about a month now, but FH wasn't getting into it. At one point I told him I'm just going to do my own thing and you do your own thing, but he got all pouty, so we agreed to figure out a costume together. So, last night we go to the costume store, and he ditches me! Instead of getting the Clinton/Monica Lewinsky costume we finally agreed on, he decides to be Howard Stern, leaving me high and dry to now scramble to figure out some costume for myself with one week to go. I'm so annoyed and mad - am I being silly?

Hmmmm ....i like the Howard Stern costume much better than the bill clinton/monica one. But yeah i would be pissy too. But it is minor, he is at least getting into the whole costume thing and that is what you want ultimately! So just try to get past it and go get a fab costume too!

well, while you have/had a right to upset, I agree that he has met you half way, and you are better off moving on. It might be hard, but it is what is best for you guys. Hey, he is wearing a costume. I so would do holloween if i wasn't all in to getting married as soon as possible

Umm..I'd be really pissed. I mean, it's ONE thing he can do for you, to help relieve your stress and make you happy, and how stupid is it to not show up in a couples costume? *sigh* Men just don't get it. I'd be pissed too!

I understand why you're annoyed, but think about it this way--if he was not really all that into the costume idea and being able to dress us like Howard makes him more excited than he was, that's a good thing right? Plus, this way you aren't limited to a couple's costume and you can get something really great!

Exactly. And, I agree the Clinton/Lewinsky thing was stupid, but I gave him so many other good ideas!! Lisa and Millhouse, frankenstein and bride of frankenstein, curious george and man in the yellow hat, dumb and dumber, Dr. evil and mini-me. But, instead, he chooses Howard Stern and ditches me in the process. I'll get over it because it isn't the biggest deal in the world, but it was so not cool of him.

Yeah I would probably be annoyed but don't let it bother you.

I know you are pissed off, but I think it is kind of petty. Find another costume , girl. Don't get so down on it. You are getting married REEALLY soon. Do something SEXY. Super sexy. That is what I would do. Now you have a HUGE door open. You can pick whatever costume you want.

I understand being annoyed, but I wouldn't worry about it - your wedding is almost here! I don't think you need to be in couples costumes. Focus on this being your RD and people are going in costume - that is what you've always wanted

I have to agree. Don't waste your time being annoyed about this. Just get a costume you really like and enjoy yourself. If this is the biggest snag in your wedding plans though, consider yourself lucky.

I think you should be a really hot SEXY chick. You know Howard Stern likes his Babes in little outfits. GO for it!
