Am I being a brat or this common?

So I kind of have an idea of when my 'surprise shower' is. Basically b/c people are not good at keeping things quiet and not being obvious. Anyway, If I'm correct, it's the first weekend in June (6th or 7th). I have been checking out my registry over the last few weeks and a handful of things were completed or purchased...but now NOTHING! I'm not greedy of anything, but now I'm afraid I'm having a crappy turnout b/c both of registry's are still pretty stocked. Also, we didn't register for anything crazy or expensive, so that's not the problem. Are people just really into doing this last minute??? I'm getting nervous

First off shame on you for stalking your registry!! Stop acting like a selfish brat and be thankful.. Seriously I'm only joking...Ok from what I have seen personal experiance most people wait for the last minute to do gift shopping. I have also found a lot of people also forget to scan the items off the registry. This usually happens when the sales people don't bother asking. HTH and relax it will be fine!!

True True A lot of my friends have informed me they know the deal about registry stalking and are holding off last limit for that reason..LOL

This is very common...a lot of guests don't get gifts till last-minute. I'm sure you will see LOTS of activity on your registries about a day or two before your shower, don't worry!!!

It's common because my engagement party is coming up and it was supposed to be small and then we went all out and nothing had been purchased off my registry at all and then one thing and now nothing again and it's annoying to me. Either people aren't bringing gifts or they are bringing things we didn't ask for and honestly either is fine but we were originally not doing something fancy and then people kept mentioning registries and gifts and things and thats a big reason we're spending a lot more on the party is we don't want to just have a little bbq with people bringing gifts...ugh tangent but it's common!

I sooooo know how you feel. Mine is at the end of June and only a few things have come off. I just looked today and a few more things come off but, Im thinking at the last minute they will buy.

Mine stalled for awhile and then things flew off right before. People are probably busy with the long weekend and start of summer things like planting, opening pools, and getting their kids' school year wrapped up. You'll have a great shower.

Honestly, if I'm not a really close friend or family member, I usually try to wait until a couple of days before in case there was something that someone closer to the bride really wanted to get for her. So, I would say that you still have more than 2 weeks and people will probably do their shopping the weekend before...

Things FLY off of your registry during the two or three days right before your shower. Don't be alarmed!!!!

ladies my response to this when you go any type of shower do you really buy a gift 2 weeksbefore things will fly off up until the day of!!

Thanks Girls!!! I swear I'm not usually so weirded out by things, but my mom has been acting annoyed at family members on FH side. Also, we have gotten quite a few NO's as RSVP's for the wedding from FH's family. I think I was just assuming these people are going to not show up to anything and I think if that's the case FH will be really upset.

I know sometimes I forget to get shower gifts until about 2 weeks before. I thought that was considered 'last minute' but according to everyone on here, 'last minute' really can be the day of the shower.

Thanks! I have just been stressing lately over little things b/c my personal life and work life are really getting busy.
