am I being a bridezilla???!!! tell me what to do!!!!!
ok so my dress comes in (yaaaaaayy!!!!) so of course I run to the bridal shop to go see it! The woman opens up my dress bag and I immediately notice a pull on the front of the skirt!!!!! It was very small, but it was THERE & because my dress is satin, I NOTICED! Anyways, I show the woman I've been working with and she explains to me that it's really no big deal, it happens all the time from transporting the dress (blah blah blah) and that the seamstress will play with it, steam it, iron it(etc.) and it'll be good as new & i wont even know where it was to begin with. Does anyone know if this is true???!!!!??!!! I'm just freaking out because hellllooooo i paid a WHOLE lot of money for my dress! I really want to call and tell them I'd really appreciate it if the pull was fixed by my first fitting....since i know once it's altered, even if the pull cant be fixed they'll tell me there's nothing they can do. Is this going to make me seem like a spoiled brat???? I dont want to sound like one, but c'mon, I'm paying enough for the dress - it should be in perfect condition!!!!!

I don't think you're being unreasonable but when my dress first came in and I went to see if there were a few loose strings around the beading on the bodice. They told me that's normal and they'll fix it all.
How large is the pull and is it a pull in the fabric or loose threads that can be fixed?
I'd call them and be sure

it's a pull on the fabric itself.... no beading, its the thread on the satin....thats why the whole situation is bothering me!!! i'm probably going to call them tomorrow because it's just bugging me more the more i think about it!

if you're a bridezilla, then i'm a bridezilla too - because i agree. you're right, you paid enough money for the dress and it should be given to you in perfect condition. and if you noticed it and it's bothering you, then you should open your mouth for sure. and you're right to want it fixed before the first fitting. i don't think it makes you a spoiled brat or a bridezilla. and they should want to satisfy their customers.

I don't think you're being unreasonable. I would DEMAND a new dress.

You are not being unreasonable. I feel so bad that you have to go through something like this.
I would ask them to fix it by the time you go for your first fitting. This way you would be able to see it before they start doing the alterations.
If they give you a hard time, keep your head up and be firm with them. After all, you are paying a lot of money for this. I would be really upset too and would make sure they do something to compensate if they say they cannot fix it.
Good luck.

I think I would call them and tell them it is really really bothering you and although you trust that the seamstress can fix it you would like to put your mind to rest and have them do it immediately that way if you can still notice it you can have them order you a new dress...
Good luck!

For the amount of money we spend on our dresses-they should be perfect. I would call and ask them to fix before your first fitting.

I wouldn't buy a dress of the rack with a pull in it. Then certainly I expect my wedding gown to be perfect. Make sure to argue until that dress is perfect!

You're definitely NOT a bridezilla - i would have freaked too!!!
The same thing happened with my dress for my e-party (it was satin too) and I started to cry - the lady steamed teh dress and i literally could not tell where the pull was to begin with.

You should definitely call them and find out what they can do and request that they do it before you're first fitting. Don't feel so bad I think any bride would freak. I know I would!

They should have to fix it. They should fix it now because you still have some time and they are probably able to rush order another dress if need be. If you wait any longer, that will not be an option.
