Without sounding like a total spoiled brat........I booked our wedding night at a hotel nearby our hall for practical reasons.
(its the hilton garden inn by the airport).
But the idea of spending my wedding night on those hotel bedspreads, that aren't cleaned every time really upsets me.
(I have a bit of a germaphobia and I usually don't touch the bedspreads in hotels in general)
Would it be totally crazy if I bring in my own bedspread? I'm embarrassed to even tell people about my idea for fear they will think I'm being crazy.
Anyone have an opinion? You can be honest.

I've brought my own pillow to hotels sometimes so if you feel better bringing your own blanket then do it.

I am a germaphobe myself...I know exactly how you feel! My aunt actually brings all of her bedding when she goes to a hotel. If it makes you feel better, I would.

they dont change their bedsheets????what?!! i was under the impression ALL hotels change bedsheets isnt that standard?
ETA: If you have a feeling that they dont clean their bedsheets....i personally would find another hotel and give my money to a place that has clean sheets...especially for your wedding night thats the last thing you should be worrying about.

Sheets, yes. Blankets and bedspreads, not so much.

ohhhh....yea i know many places dont change their blankets. I wouldnt use them to cover up either. Definitly bring your own blanket!

I am the same way ~ I always bring my own pillow & I rarely will touch the bedspread... I might even do the same on my wedding night ~ I will totally bring my favorite blanket & pillow!

your not nutty.. i bring my own blankie too but not for germ reasons i jsut hate hotel linens i like my own!
im bringing my own stuff. i have a fear of bed bugs. you see that stuff on the news every once in a while

i think that's a good idea!! even nice hotel bedspreads can be a little scratchy. you'll be more comfortable with your own bedspread anyway!

When entering a hotel room the first thing I do is peel the bedspread off... I don't like to think about it.

If you're staying there to be closer to the airport for a honeymoon flight the next day, what are you going to do with the bedspread? Take it with you?

I would bring the Bed sheets. I saw one two many 20/20 shows to know what really goes on at hotels!! I Kid! But better safe than sorry and only you and your FH will know

Sounds like something I would do. If you feel like you will not be comfortable on your wedding night w//o having your own sheets, GIRL GRAB YOUR SHEETS. Heck the hotel wouldn't even mind if you left them there. HAve fun!

Wow! that's exactly how i felt which is why i'm going against staying at a hotel the night of. The money for the room can be used to buy new sheets or pillows!
Bringing your own bed sheets is fine as long as you remember to take it with you when you leave.
