So, one of my friends I grew up with just got a apt. and next week she is having a house warming party. I am kinda mad because she says she can't come to my B- party because of money but, its only alittle over $100 and 5 months away. Meanwhile I have gone to her engagement party, shower, batchlorette party (which mind you I spent over $100 for), wedding, 30th birthday party all in like a little over a year. Do you think its being petty to not go to her housewarming party?

i don't think so.. i feel that people should always reciprocate when possible.. but if you don't see yourself going because she's not coming to your bparty, you could say that you have a ton of stuff to do.. or show up for a few and leave..

NO ! You have it would seem attended every function for her and she can not attend yours. You have a free pass on this one. Just don't do it if you think you would enjoy yourself and see friends. You do not have to get an expensive gift.

No, I don't think so... I'd do the same thing! I'm not sure if that means we are both petty though!

Go to the party but don't bring anything out of spite!

I don't think so at all. In fact, doesn't sound like she cares much about you to NOT do the one thing you asked her/invited her to do. You've gone above and beyond from what you've told us and I feel that you do not have to give her any further funds!

i wouldn't go..i hate cheapness..i understand being short on money, who isn't right now...but you're giving her 5 months to save 100 dollars..i don't think that's too much to ask
