FH and I just got into an argument b/c he told me that he was going away 3 mos. before our wedding. Its a trip with his boxing team which would cost about $1500-$2000? I have never said no to any trip of his before, but I just feel like we really need that money now!

I dont think ur being unreasonable.. I personally would kick my FH's a$$.. I actually think he knows better by now We wanted to take a trip but now everythings called off since the engagement... good luck

Is he doing a tournament or something or is it just trip the guys on the team are taking? He's gotta prioritize right now.. if it was a couple of hundred, it may not break ya.. but almost 2k is alot to be spending before the wedding if you guys really need it. Did he ask before he went ahead and did it? Not that he's a kid or anything, but before a wedding he should.. otherwise I'd be pissed. JMO

Yes, it doesn't sound like you're being unreasonable to me. He shuoldn't be spending that kind of money when your wedding is 3 months away. That could go towards unexpected expenses or tips.

As mentioned above, if it's for a competition for tournament......even though it isn't a favorable time, I would understand why he would want to go.
BUT, if it's just him and his team wanting to do a weekend trip to party and what not, I would say that I would be upset about that......especialy so close to the wedding (if you need those extra funds).

He is fighting, but he fights about 8x's a year and for the past 5 years, I have never said taht he could not go....and no there was no asking what I thought.

Your not being unreasonable at all thats alot of money and 3mnths beore the wedding he s out of his mind that means your doing everything on your own and thats not fair Kick his A$$ for even thinking about doing it unless it is for a tournament then i think i would still be fustrated but would let him go

Agreed! My FH wanted to go to Jamaica in February with the FD (and me of course) It was a trip being paid for by the FD and I still said no...I know we would wind up spending alot of $$$ while we were there AND I want our HM to be the first really nice trip we take together.
However, his brother and his fiance are talking about a Destination wedding in Peurto Rico in July--2 months b4 ours...and we are expected to attend and pay for ourselves.
They were engaged first, but we started planning before they did...I personally they are being ridiculous, esp. since no one in FHs family can afford to go to PR.
