Am I cheap?

Am I cheap?

Okay, with all the wedding plannings I have become a little stingy with my money. I don't know if it happened to anyone else. I would have no problem dropping $800 on a handbag, but all of the sudden I feel guilty buying a $60 shirt...what is going on with me!!!!!!!

Thats normal. I'm like that on a daily basis. I will spend $25 on shampoo but I can't see spending $5.99 on cheese!!

i've become WAY more cheap during the wedding buying.

at first it was like i want to get this and do that for the wedding....now i have no money so things are either getting cut or i'm going a cheaper route

I am the same way!! I think it is normal...and it really taught me how much money I could save ( in general before the wedding saving) by just paying close attention to what I buy!

Forget 60 dollar shirts. I felt bad about buying 20 dollar shirts at Mandees. My wedding is over and Im still that way.

I don't know about anyone else, but some days my 'cheapness' is worse than other days.. I guess it all depends on how bad I want something

I thought it was just me. I keep leaving the mall empty handed.
The other day i bought a camisole and matching panties on clearance from Lord and Taylor for $20 all together and I left thinking I paid too much

Totally normal. I haven't bought anything for myself in months.

Ok I feel better reading this. Lately I've been having register phobia.... I will see something nice and on the way up to the register, feel guilty about buying it, turn around and put it back

OMG I feel the same way!!! I refuse to buy anything not wedding or house related. I also used to be the type to blow $200 on a pair of effin jeans. Those days are pretty much over until after this wedding!

No, you are not cheap, you are becoming a grown up. Suckks having a conscious, doesn't it.

First you feel bad spending $ on things rather than saving for the wedding, then it will be a house. I'm sure later it will be kids

I think you just stated what every married person with kids tells me all the time. I actually was never one to spend a lot on things anyway and i've gotten better in the past few years but I still can only justify a coach bag, for example, as a birthday present or something like that.
