I was thinking of changing jobs but am not desperate to... am I crazy for turning down an interview? Its not that I wouldn't want that job (it actually sounds good), its just that I like convenience and the location was not ideal for me.
I hate taking my personal time off from work for wasted interviews and feel like I should be somewhat selective.... Am I wrong?

You are not crazy!!! In fact, I think you are pretty smart!!! You realized right away that you might have issues with this job. If it was the 'dream job' or even just a good opportunity you would not have turned it down. Only you know what is best for you!! It doesn't hurt, however, to sometimes go on an interview just for the hell of it!!! You never know what kind of opportunity you can run into!!
if it didn't interfere with work time...then I say go for all interviews...at least for practice...but taking time off is a harder situation and you don't want to miss your dream job interview b/c you went on ones that you knew weren't right...
