Am I crazy????

I got a bunch of gift cards and want to go spend it on stuff that FH and I will need when we live together...not for another yr plus.
So do I spend it on myself or US????

OMG!!!
I JUST got into an argument w/my mom about that!!!

I got 450 dollars in gift cards, and we are not moving in together till june 09' and I figured I could use it to get all the odds and ends for the house!

Im going to. Its worth it to me :)

Wow!!! I wish I had that much!!!! I only need 2 things that I dont think I got for xmas. After getting them I think I will get our stuff!

150 was from the church msr as our bonus but in visa check cards ( i guess so we dont get taxes out)

And then i got 200 in centry21 gift cards... its down the block from school lol :)

spend it however you want! its never to early to start to get things for when you and FH live together, if you start getting things now slowly, when the day comes youll be all ready. thats what im starting to do

Spend it how you WANT to spend it! If you want to buy some stuff for your place when you are living together... TOTALLY GO FOR IT! that's why they are a GIFT---for you to decide what you want to do with it
Plus, if you hold onto gift cards toooooooo long sometimes money gets taken off of them.. depending on the type of gift card (I got burnt with a Simon Mall Gift Card)

I have the same problem! Everyone at work chipped in and got me a bloomingdales gc but I cant decide if I should get something for me and FH or just myself...I think im just going to go and wing it

I have tons of stuff for when we get our house that are in huge plastic bins in the basement...so go get that stuff....it is a cute idea!

I love buying house stuff so much that I figure those really are gifts for ME. Dont go too crazy spending on things you think you need when you move in together because before you know it you'll have a bridal shower! I went insane and bought EVERYTHING... but I love it all and wouldnt trade it! Make sure you spend at least a little just on you!

Fh just told me that what he sold on ebay is ALL going to him for things he needs . So I am going to spend it on myself! MEN!!

I buy stuff for when we have a house all the time, especially when it's on clearance, his mom gets mad about it saying we shouldn't be buying that stuff but if it's on sale why not?

Just think of it this way.... whatever you buy will make you look even better to FH so in a way, it's a gift to him too!

get a little for yourself and then spend the rest on the house!, we actually got about 500 dollars in gift cards and we are just holding onto them for a few months until we find a place to live then we will buy everything we need

it depends.. if you can save it. .and they wont charge ur for not using it.. then i would save it.... other then that.. why not buy stuff now and store it for later?
